I've always underestimated the positive impact of people in my life, and I don't want to do that anymore. People have played a really big part in my tech career, and I want to take a moment to appreciate them. As the saying goes:
Credit where it's due.
The first person I want to mention is my partner, Jashan. I hadn't done multi-day train travel in a long time, not since I was a kid. So when I got selected for BlockTrain, I was afraid: how would I survive, would there be good arrangements, what if I got sick, would I be able to sleep? If Jashan hadn't pushed me to go for it, I might not have done that.
Similarly for Warpspeed, I was going to Bangalore for the first time, travelling solo, and scared. She pushed me for that too. And I'm so so grateful to her for that, because both of these events eventually helped me land an internship at Devfolio, which is a really big part of my career. She even helped me in some of my job applications, she reviewed them for me, fixed my mistakes, helped me emphasize certain points, which I believe really helped me pass the initial screening stages, which is the most difficult part for me tbh. So, thank you Jashan for pushing me to do things when I was afraid to.
Next up, I want to credit my long time friend, Sundaram. Since my diploma days, he was one of the few people who helped me grow as a developer. We attended so many hackathons, events, and competitions together, earned lots of prize money too. He too helped me apply to jobs confidently, even when the listing made me doubt my eligibility. I also want to credit Aayush and Jay for contributing to sleepless nights at hackathons, covering up for me after I caffeine-crashed the next morning. Some of my best memories with them are from GajShield Hack X, HackX 3.0, HackX 4.0, and the ETHIndia villa.
And of course, my parents, who funded all the flight tickets, hotel stays, and food money for all the cool hackathons and events I attend :P, as well as giving me the freedom and support to chase my dreams, without worries.
