About
I'm Yash Kolekar, known online as WhyAsh5114 — a full-stack developer based in Mumbai, India. I build TypeScript-heavy web products, most of which end up open source. This site (Dev Log) is where I track that work: projects, hackathons, events, professional experience, and technical writing, all in one place.
What I build
My flagship project, MyFit, is a science-based fitness tracker with 100+ GitHub stars and regular active users. I also maintain idb-client-generator, a code generator that brings Prisma-like typed APIs to IndexedDB, with LWW conflict resolution and outbox/changelog-based syncing for local-first apps. Beyond those, I've shipped dozens of smaller projects spanning blockchain (ETHGlobal hackathon builds), developer tooling, and AI integrations — all cataloged on the projects page.
How I work
My primary stack is TypeScript, SvelteKit, tRPC, PostgreSQL, Prisma, and Docker, with React/Next.js in the mix where a project calls for it. I'm a frequent hackathon competitor — wins and placements include ETHMumbai and ETHOnline — and I write up what I learn on the blog. The full history of what I've built, when, and where is on the timeline page.
