MIP-16 was held in collaboration with Devcon this time. The venue was nice, chai and coffee going around, the kind of setting that actually makes people want to talk to each other.
The focus this time was CROPS: censorship resistance, open source, privacy, and security. That's going to be the lens for Devcon Mumbai, and it was interesting to hear the community discuss what that actually means in practice, what they want to see prioritised, and where the gaps are.
There was also a segment from the Web3 Privacy folks about the Cypherpunk Congress, a pre-Devcon event centred around similar themes. Good overlap with the crowd in the room.
The second half was mostly just people talking to each other, which is honestly when these things get good. Great vibes throughout. The last MIP was similar in that it was a small, nice setting, but this one felt more like a community event than a meetup. The crowd was a bit more diverse too, which was nice to see.
