First time being on the organiser side of things at one of these, and it's a noticeably different headspace. You're not there to get something out of it. You're just there to make the thing work.
Helped with check-ins, setting up branding, the usual logistics. It came pretty naturally, mostly because I switched into work mode the moment I arrived, probably from spending the past few days at OSS Summit as an attendee.
Familiar faces everywhere. Folks from previous hackathons, saw people from GajShield Hack X, Codex Hackathon. Also met some folks from the OSS Summit crowd, including folks from ValKey. Nice to reconnect and interact without the pressure of a hackathon context around it.
Had dinner, caught up with people, called it a night at a reasonable hour. Good evening overall.
